The first episodes crack open a mystery so compelling you think you've found something special: what is the Red Night, why does it keep pulling you back, why do these six shadows want Kakeru dead. Then the show gets comfortable with its own formula and stops asking questions, cycling through the same motions until you realize the mystery was always bigger than the answers. It looks sharp enough to keep you watching, but the repetition and plot holes pile up faster than the story can explain them away.

High schooler Kakeru Satsuki, who lost his sister seven years ago and grew up in an orphanage, sees his world warp without warning: the sky goes red, the moon turns black, and monsters prowl the streets. Swept into this alternate dimension, known as the Red Night, alongside his best friend Yuka and other students from his school, he joins forces with them to stay alive. Their situation worsens when six shadowy black knights appear, determined to kill Kakeru and his friends. A girl sealed inside a crystal seems linked to the phenomenon, and Kakeru resolves to grow stronger to protect Yuka and end the Red Night for good. Expect supernatural action with ecchi elements.
