A kid who's terrified takes over a magical temp agency because his dad vanished, and every client he sends his people to help could be the one that finally explains why. Itsuki doesn't have a secret power or hidden strength waiting to unlock, he's just a coward running a business on borrowed confidence, trying to keep his misfits alive long enough to find answers. The show treats his fear as real, not something to overcome with a speech.

Itsuki Iba inherits his family's unusual enterprise: a magical staffing agency called Astral that dispatches magicians and other supernatural beings to clients in need. When his father disappears, Itsuki must take charge, despite being a coward at heart. The company is always short of money and takes on assorted jobs, drawing on practitioners of Solomonic, Shinto, Onmyodou and Celtic magic. Running it means connecting with his staff, which his personality makes harder than it sounds, while also facing those who threaten the business. Astral is not the only agency chasing work, but it holds an ace: Itsuki himself, who removes his eye patch when trouble grows too big to handle.
