A god trapped in a kid's body running a detective agency is funny on paper. The show makes it sing by never wasting the premise: every case is actually about catching pieces of human darkness, which means Loki's stuck solving real mysteries with genuine stakes while cracking jokes about being stuck in the human world. The voice acting, especially in the dub, sells the absurdity without ever letting you forget that a literal Norse god is genuinely frustrated by how petty human problems can be.

Loki, the Norse god of mischief, is banished to the human world over what seems to have been a bad joke, and his punishment also traps him in the body of a child. To earn his way back to the realm of the gods, he must gather the evil auras that seize human hearts, so he sets up a detective agency to track them down. Mayura, a human girl wild about mysteries, soon joins him and pitches in her own way. Before long, other Norse gods start to show up, and most of them are out to kill Loki for reasons no one can explain. Part comedy, part supernatural mystery, the show pairs strange cases with a trickster god trying to survive his exile.
