A high schooler who kills for money and a ninja on the run end up living together, and the show treats this setup like a sitcom about incompatible roommates. The comedy lives in the gap between how casually they handle assassination and how genuinely they're learning to care about each other. By episode twelve, you realize the show spent all that time making you actually invested in two people whose job is death.

Konoha Koga looks like an ordinary high school girl living on her own, but she secretly works as an assassin. On her way home one day she rescues Satoko Kusagakure, a ninja who ran away from her village. When people from the village come hunting for Satoko, Konoha takes care of them, and Satoko turns out to have a real talent for making bodies disappear. Konoha proposes an arrangement: Satoko can live with her if she handles the cleanup after each job. From there, the comedy follows the odd pair as they settle into life together, both at home and on the jobs they work as a team.
