Aesop is a mischievous boy who ends up in another world full of beings he never thought were real, from fairies to donkeys that can talk. Wanting to get back to the ordinary world, he sets out in search of a way home. On the road he makes friends with many familiar characters from classic fables and faces a series of trials, and each one leaves him with a lesson worth keeping. The episodes draw on well-known tales such as the ant and the grasshopper, the lion and the mouse, and the hare and the tortoise. At the close of every episode, three colorful monkeys called Ton, Tan and Ti sum up the story and share their thoughts, speaking to young viewers and their families. The format is a short-episode fantasy series running 52 episodes.
