The peace Afro built gets demolished by a woman who knows exactly how to weaponize his guilt. Sio isn't a villain he can cut through, she's a reckoning that moves through his life like a blade, forcing him to confront that revenge doesn't actually end anything. This is Afro Samurai stripped down to its real thesis: the samurai code demands you keep fighting long after fighting has stopped meaning anything, and the cost of that is everyone around you burning.

Afro Samurai got his revenge for his father, won the Number One headband and settled into a peaceful life, though nightmares still haunt his nights. That calm breaks when Sio and Jinno, old friends from his past, steal the headband along with his father's remains. Sio dares him to put on the Number Two headband again and come after them, which makes him a target for anyone willing to kill for it. Afro sets out on a fresh trail of violent duels, facing foe after foe in a cycle of vengeance around the Number One headband that refuses to end. Samuel L. Jackson voices Afro, and Lucy Liu voices Sio.
