An immortal witch's grief spirals into chaos when she accidentally summons the Prince of Hell trying to stop her own tears. Season two doesn't reset that premise, it deepens the wreckage, watching two beings with nothing in common become each other's only solution to staying sane. The comedy lives in the specificity: a demon prince forced into emotional labor because the alternative is worse, a witch learning that immortality means you carry every loss forever. This is slice-of-life for people exhausted by their own survival. By the end, you stop laughing at the absurdity and start recognizing yourself in it.
Five ghosts linger in Agate's house, every one of them a friend of Agate's before death, and a sudden awakening of ghost power puts them in conflict with Prince Alois. He is the prince who left Hell Valley for the surface once it had flooded with tears shed by half of a witch's head, so that the witch who threw that head would face justice. The two sides negotiate in the graveyard of Agate's family. Alois wants every ghost to head to Hell Valley and be reincarnated, but the ghosts want to find what is causing Agate to suffer. Unwilling to cause Agate more hurt, they decide to go and hand their memories to Alois first, hoping clues can be found in them. When those of A Zhu, a woman, have been viewed, a child named Lv collapses, and Alois, now very weak, feels a sense of urgency.
