Akatsuki no Yona (Zoku-hen) is a sequel to Yona of the Dawn. That earlier story introduced Yona, the only princess of a grand kingdom, raised with care by her doting father and guarded by her childhood friend Hak. On her 16th birthday her beloved cousin Soo-won murdered her father to take the throne, and she fled the castle to Hak's hometown to begin a new life. This continuation picks up her story, mixing action, adventure, comedy, drama, fantasy and romance.
