Komichi Akebi starts junior high with an unusual obsession: the sailor uniform of Roubai Private Academy, a prestigious girls' middle school and her mother's alma mater. She has loved sailor uniforms since childhood, and she even asked her mother to sew one for her if she got in. When she is accepted, she learns the school has since dropped the sailor uniform, so she stands out from everyone else. Still, she is allowed to keep wearing it, and with fresh confidence she looks forward to lunches, classes, club activities and new friends. Set against open countryside, this quiet slice-of-life adaptation of Hiro's manga follows Komichi and her classmates as school life unfolds.
