Takeshi Kovacs is on the planet Latimer, where a yakuza boss has been killed. As he looks into the death, he also has to keep a tattooist safe, and he works the case with a CTAC who has no patience for nonsense. The story is a one-episode animated spin-off of Netflix's live-action science fiction series and is set in the same universe. It brings new pieces to the franchise's mythology, mixing action and drama within a science fiction setting.
