Brandon watches his best friend become a monster from the inside out, and there's nothing he can do but stand next to him. The first episode spoils the ending and wastes your time, but if you push past it, the show builds something genuinely devastating about how loyalty to the wrong person hollows you from within. By the time you understand what Millennion actually is, Brandon has already lost everything that made him human, and you realize the tragedy wasn't one moment, it was a thousand small surrenders.

Brandon Heat is left reeling after his friends are murdered. He follows Harry MacDowel, his closest friend, into Millennion, the biggest mafia syndicate around, where both start at the lowest rung. Harry wants to climb all the way to the top and one day take Big Daddy's place as leader. Brandon stays for a different reason: Big Daddy has custody of the woman he loves. Over the years Brandon proves his loyalty, until he learns what Millennion truly stands for and serious conflict follows. Adapted from a third-person shooter game, Gungrave pairs gunfire action with a drama of friendship, betrayal and greed.
