The show exists in the spaces between big moments, where two girls just sit together and let the summer happen around them. Amanchu doesn't need conflict or revelation to justify itself, a conversation on a dock, light changing on water, the specific way a friend laughs, these are enough. If you're tired of shows that demand something from you, this one asks only that you stay present.

Amanchu!: The Story of the Promised Summer and New Memories is a single unaired episode of the Amanchu! anime, released as a bonus on the seventh Blu-ray volume of the series. The OVA is a slice-of-life comedy extra that adds one more episode to the main show.
