Nobody talks about this one. These shorts move at their own pace, asking nothing from you except to sit still and watch someone think out loud through animation, a conversation between two artists about what it means to move a pencil across paper. Each piece strips away narrative urgency completely. What's left is the pleasure of watching an animator notice something small (how rain falls, how a cow moves through a day, how buildings breathe) and spend five minutes showing you exactly why it matters. This is animation as meditation, not spectacle.

Two creators, Tomoyoshi Joko and Hiroco Ichinose, share this OVA collection of short animated films made between 2005 and 2009. Joko's pieces include AFRO, Mr. Cloud and Mr. Rain, Buildings, Lizard Planet and Kanagawa Dog. Ichinose contributes annihilation, The last breakfast, Ushi Nichi (Cow's Day), ha-P, YOKOHA-MAMAN, the pilot films COSMIC! and morning, and Joint Buil-Bun. The shorts vary widely in length, from twelve seconds to more than nine minutes. The collection is labeled with adventure, comedy, fantasy, music and mystery genres.
