Gudo is a spirit who guides the souls of the dead through Another World, the realm they pass through before being reborn. While guiding a young girl named Yuri, he finds that humans feel emotions he cannot grasp. Within Yuri lies a Seed of Evil that turns her into a monstrous Wrath if anger overwhelms her. Goddess Mira charges Gudo with helping her master that rage, and he sets out on a thousand-year journey through her many incarnations. Along the way he learns that her salvation depends on her forgiving herself for the tragic loss of her brother.
