Happy, a young resident of Dodeka Tree, is constantly picked on and mocked as a weakling. He goes to find his hero Anpanman and begs him for training so he can become strong. Anpanman spends his days helping people who need it rather than battling villains, and Happy's faith in him fades. Baikinman sees his chance and causes trouble with Gringa, a greedy maggot newly built by Dr. Hiyari. The 17th Anpanman movie is a comedy and was shown as a double feature alongside Kuroyuki-hime to Motemote Baikinman.
