Four girls wake up 6000 years in the future with a toy phone and no instructions. The world has already ended. They have to figure out why they were sent here before they understand what "here" even is. Time travel sci-fi usually makes you feel like you're solving a puzzle alongside the characters, but this OVA makes you feel like you're lost with them, which is the only honest way to experience it. A single episode can't explain everything, so it doesn't try. Instead it sits in the silence of four teenagers standing on dead earth, holding the last piece of their old world, and asks what comes next.

Four schoolgirls walk across a barren Earth six thousand years in the future, sent there from a present where the same day repeats without end so that humanity can avoid extinction. They trained in time travel at school, passed an aptitude test and went forward as instructed, but now have no idea what to do. Their only possession is a flimsy, toy-like cellphone that gets no signal. Along the way they spot odd birds overhead and a discolored river far off. Then one girl comes upon an abandoned house and recognizes the name carved on its gate. This single sci-fi OVA covers the future branch of a wider mixed-media project.
