SYNOPSIS
Humanity's world stands fractured by a colossal barrier, a desperate measure against the creeping plague known as Dark mist. Behind this wall, massive artificial cities called Arks house the desperate and displaced, each one a self-contained refuge from the contamination beyond. Shido Enishi works the streets of the ninth Ark as a private detective, handling the small cases that keep him afloat in this stratified society. When a routine job to apprehend a burglar lands on his desk, it seems like easy money. Instead, the capture pulls him into something far darker: a conspiracy that reaches into the highest levels of Ark governance.
