Chirico wakes up searching for one person, and walks into a war between what humanity is supposed to become. The animation moves like nothing else in early-90s mecha, every frame deliberate, every suit displacement precise. What starts as a rescue mission becomes a statement about whether the perfect soldier was ever meant to be saved, and whether anyone gets to decide that but him.

Chirico wakes from cold sleep to find that he has been parted from Fyana. His efforts to track her down draw the notice of a Nextant, the successor to the Perfect Soldier program. At the same time, a new Pope is about to be chosen, and in religious terms Chirico is regarded as "The Untouchable." Because one of the nominees has ties to the Nextant, whatever Chirico does carries wide political consequences. The five-episode OVA is a science fiction drama built around mecha.
