The timing of jokes lands because the show trusts you to catch the rhythm before it explains the setup. Character moments feel earned without ever stopping being funny, which means you're invested in whether Yoshii actually confesses or keeps stumbling through another misunderstanding. Season 2 doesn't pretend to be anything other than what it is: a show about lovable idiots being exactly as stupid as they need to be for the next laugh, and it never apologizes for the joy in that simplicity.

Yoshii Akihisa and the rest of Class F, the lowest-ranked students at Fumizuki Academy, return for a second season set in summer. Instead of fighting the elite Class A for a better classroom, they face new trouble. The girls keep competing for the boys' attention, and a stalker is blackmailing Akihisa and Yuuji Sakamoto, threatening to expose their most embarrassing secrets to the entire school. On top of that, everyone's summoned avatar begins acting oddly. The boys have to cooperate to unmask the stalker while coping with the romantic mishaps that follow them. The comedy keeps the same style as the first season while giving the cast more depth.
