Kasumi Toyama has been chasing a feeling since childhood: the thrill she got gazing at the stars. After transferring to Hanasakigawa Girls' High School, she follows a trail of star-shaped signs to a pawn shop run by the grandmother of her classmate Arisa, and there she finds a star-shaped guitar. She knows instantly what she has to do: start a band. The problem is that Arisa and her grandmother are not eager to sell the guitar, and finding other girls who want to become musicians seems almost impossible. Kasumi's search eventually brings her to four others, Saaya, Arisa, Rimi and Tae, though forming a band means facing plenty of hurdles along the way.
