The mystery actually holds up, Red Herring's flying everywhere, the pieces fit together wrong until they don't, and by the time Doyle's in the room you realize the show is playing a legitimate whodunit game with you. Sebastian's contempt for human deduction becomes the real joke, watching him pretend to care while the actual murder unfolds around aristocratic incompetence. Ciel has to solve this one himself, and the show earns every second of that tension.

At the Queen's request, Ciel Phantomhive throws an extravagant banquet for some of London's most distinguished guests, among them the author Arthur Conan Doyle. The glamorous evening turns grim when a murder occurs and Ciel himself falls under suspicion. As a violent storm rages outside, more guests turn up dead. Ciel, his butler Sebastian, and the surviving guests must work together to expose the killer before anyone else dies, though even the flawless Sebastian may not be safe. This two-episode OVA blends mystery and supernatural elements with comedy.
