Black Jack stops being a puzzle box of standalone cases and becomes a revenge narrative that actually earns its anger, grounded in the medical knowledge that made the original work. Every procedure, every diagnosis becomes evidence in a murder investigation; the show treats medicine like detective work. By the finale, you understand why his father's hands matter more than his own scars.

Black Jack begins investigating the conspiracy behind the bomb field accident that drew him in and took his mother's life. As he searches for answers, he uncovers the secrets of a shadowy Organization and a scheme called Project "Noir", in which his own father and other well-known doctors took part. This action drama stands apart from the original Black Jack TV series and is not a direct sequel to it. The season runs 17 episodes.
