An army plane defecting from the U-ran Union touches down in Black Jack's garden, carrying a soldier, his wife and their young son. The parents have come to beg Black Jack to treat the boy, who suffers from a rare illness that may already be beyond help, and the case pushes even his abilities to their limit. Adapted from a single chapter of Osamu Tezuka's manga, this one-episode drama OVA first came with a limited edition Black Jack box from the manga's publisher. Its tone stays closer to the source than the 10-part Black Jack OVA released around the same time.
