A boy crushes an insect without thinking. From that moment forward, the act refuses to stop echoing. The film moves through quietness and dread with the logic of a nightmare, where one thoughtless gesture breeds a shadow that won't leave you alone, and an elephant watches it all happen without intervening.

A young hermit comes across a winged insect. Disgusted, he crushes it. An elephant sees everything that happens but stays silent. From then on, the boy is pursued by the shadows of winged insects. Malice in this psychological film surfaces without warning, fickle as a fluttering insect, as though it were blinking. The film was made as a 2021 graduate work in animation at the Tokyo University of the Arts.
