The Agency is actively falling apart and the show makes you feel every collapse, this isn't setup, it's execution happening in real time. Fyodor stops being a concept and becomes a person with a plan you can't predict, which means no scene is safe. The animation cranks hard enough that spectacle becomes the emotional language here.

The Armed Detective Agency is still fleeing the Hunting Dogs, and its staff are being captured one by one while Kamui, head of the terrorist group Decay of the Angel (Tenjin Goshui), draws closer. Ranpo Edogawa believes the way to clear the Agency's name and prevent chaos is to track down and seize Kamui himself. To learn where Kamui is hiding, Ranpo and Atsushi Nakajima need amnesty from Ouchi Fukuchi, the celebrated captain of the Hunting Dogs and the man ordered to arrest them. Fukuchi's history with Agency president Yukichi Fukuzawa may help them win his trust, though he may be less honorable than he claims. The fifth season mixes action, comedy, mystery and supernatural elements as the Agency fights to survive.
