Captain Future builds a pulp adventure where the sidekicks matter more than the hero. Curtis Newton, known as Captain Future, is an orphan whose parents died aboard their artificial satellite while he was still an infant. His father was a scientist who left Earth to devote himself to research alongside his aging friend, the genius Dr. Simon Wright. Sensing his own death, Wright had his brain placed inside a mechanical container, and the two scientists also built an advanced robot and an android. Curtis commits his life to fighting evil, joined by his unusual trio of companions: the living brain, the android and the robot. The result is a 1978 action adventure with a science fiction setting.
