SYNOPSIS
Twelve-year-old Esteban carries a strange medallion and possesses an inexplicable ability: he can summon the sun itself. When his adoptive father dies, Esteban decides to chase the only lead he has: the medallion bears symbols connected to the New World and rumors of legendary golden cities. Crossing the Atlantic, Esteban meets Zia, a girl torn from her Incan home years ago, who wears an identical medallion. Then comes Tao, a solitary boy raised in isolation who descends from the ancient Heva civilization responsible for building the fabled Cities of Gold. Together, these three outsiders become adventurers following cryptic celestial signs across a dangerous, unforgiving landscape.
