A kid watches his parents burn their life's work to protect him, then die anyway. He's left alone with powers he doesn't understand, running from soldiers who want to weaponize what makes him different. The island he finds isn't a safe place to hide, it's where he learns those powers were never meant to be his secret. They're the last echo of a whole civilization that knew how to live with the wind instead of trying to control it. What destroys Amon isn't the Empire chasing him. Amon has strange powers that let him manipulate light, heal injuries, fly, and talk to animals. His father Fritz is chief scientist for the Empire of the Golden Snake, which is hunting for new energy sources. When Fritz learns the empire means to use his son's gift for violence, he burns his research and tries to flee the country with his family. His parents die in the escape, and Amon is left alone and running from the military. On an island he learns about the Wind People, an ancient race that could fly on the wind and speak with animals as he does. He then reaches a fishing village and befriends a girl named Maria. After the Golden Snake army attacks the village, the two join a band of rebels trying to stop the empire's conquest. Based on a book by C.W. Nicol, this fantasy adventure film follows Amon as he sees the empire's cruelty firsthand.
