The world is built on wind and propellers, not magic or technology you can name, so it feels ancient and immediate at once. Claus and Lavie's bond survives everything the war throws at them because the show understands that the only thing stronger than a nation's machinery is two people who chose each other first. By the finale, you realize the entire conflict was designed to test whether they would break, and the answer matters more than who wins.

On the planet Prester, where vanships rule the skies, two young sky couriers chase glory. Claus Valca, the son of a renowned vanship pilot, is a natural flyer, and his best friend Lavie Head serves as his navigator. Both hope to outdo their parents, and they are set on becoming the first couriers to fly a vanship across the Grand Stream, a perilous air current dividing two hostile nations. Their plans change when they accept a top-rated job: delivering Alvis Hamilton, an orphaned girl, to the warship Silvana. The job pulls them into the ceaseless war between Anatoray and Disith, rival nations tearing each other apart by the rules of chivalry, and sets them against the Guild, the organization that holds authority over the skies. What began as racing becomes an effort to bring peace and unravel the mystery at the center of their turbulent world. Action and sci-fi drive this high-altitude adventure.
