Conan and the crew trapped in a villa with nothing but wine, suspects, and the kind of murder mystery that doesn't take itself seriously enough to ruin a celebration. This is Case Closed doing what it does best: taking a locked-room puzzle and making you want to solve it alongside Shinichi before someone else dies. Inspector Shiratori's pride in his collection becomes the perfect prop for chaos, the kind of setup that lets the show breathe between the deduction and the joke.

Inspector Ninzaburou Shiratori invites Conan Edogawa and a large circle of friends to his villa in Karuizawa for a small party. The guest list includes the Detective Boys, the Mouri family, Professor Agasa, Heiji, Sonoko, Kazuha and several police officers. The evening's centerpiece is Shiratori's treasured wine collection, and a bottle of his costliest vintage is meant to be opened for everyone. Just before it can be served, Shiratori finds that bottle shattered on the floor, and whoever broke it has to be one of the sixteen people at the gathering. The result is a single-episode Case Closed mystery built around a room full of suspects.
