Case Closed Magic File 3 is a one-episode mystery OVA from 2009 and another look at Shinichi and Ran's past. While Kogoro sits down to a game of mahjong, Ran tells Conan about a Tanabata from her early childhood. Years ago, her class was asked to write down their wishes and hang them on bamboo. The OVA is one of the Magic File releases made to promote the Detective Conan films of their year.
