At an exclusive New York auction, a Van Gogh Sunflowers painting long thought lost in a World War II air raid goes up for sale, and Jirokichi Suzuki wins it with a $300 million bid while his niece Sonoko looks on. Suzuki then announces a plan to bring all seven Sunflowers together for an exhibition at Lake Rock, a heavily secured gallery built into a Japanese cliff. He also names seven specialists, the Seven Samurai, to guard the paintings. When the phantom thief Kaito Kid apparently steals one of the Sunflowers during an auction, Conan sets out to track him down in this action mystery film.
