Ran's buried memory of what really happened ten years ago bleeds into the present as someone methodically hunts down everyone connected to her father, and the show finally lets you see why this family fractures the way it does. The card-dealer killer isn't just a serial murderer, he's solving a personal debt against Kogoro himself, which means every attack is a question mark on Ran's version of her own past. By the time the final card falls, the mystery has done what the TV series only hints at: made you understand that Conan's case work was never the real investigation, Ran's family was.

Ran wakes from a nightmare haunted by fragmented memories of her mother. Ten years have passed since that fateful day, but the truth remains buried. Now, a string of attacks begins targeting people connected to her father, each victim bearing a mysterious link: a number hidden in their name that corresponds to a playing card. The assaults follow a brutal sequence, counting down from king to ace, and suspicion quickly lands on a vengeful ex-convict seeking payback against Mouri. But as Conan pieces together the pattern, something doesn't add up. The attacks escalate into murders. The timeline becomes critical. Someone is working methodically through their list, and with each new victim, Conan races to identify who comes next. Yet the real answer is not the one the police expect, and while chasing it, Conan and Ran uncover what happened between her parents a decade ago.
