Amuro's three identities collide in real time, and the movie doesn't waste a second explaining which version of him is winning. Conan has to clear Kogorou's name while navigating a man who is simultaneously cop, Black Organization mole, and someone whose actual loyalty remains unknowable even as the case unfolds. The explosion is the setup. The real detonation is watching Conan operate against an opponent who could be his ally or his enemy, and the movie never gives you enough information to be sure.

An explosion rocks Edge of Ocean, a new high-tech district in Tokyo chosen to host the international Tokyo Summit, and detective Kogorou Mouri is arrested as a suspect. Conan sets out to clear the name of Ran's father, but Touru Amuro keeps getting in his way. Amuro leads three lives: he works for the National Police Agency Security Bureau as Zero, serves as Kogorou's apprentice detective, and belongs to the Black Organization under the name Bourbon. A dangerous hacker with a deadly grudge is also at large, and Conan will need Zero's help to catch them. The film mixes mystery, adventure and comedy.
