Takumi's world collapses the moment he can't tell if the murder he's witnessing is real or just another delusion bleeding from his broken mind. The show plants you inside his paranoia, makes you question every image on screen the same way he does, then yanks the ground out from under both of you when reality fractures completely. It commits to the vertigo, a 12-episode descent where sanity itself becomes unreliable, and the mystery stops mattering because you're too busy wondering if Takumi is solving a crime or hallucinating one into existence.

Shibuya, 2008: a string of killings called the "New Gen" murders has the whole city talking. Takumi Nishijou, a high school otaku who lives for online games and anime, shrugs the case off, though he often has delusions and feels constantly watched. That changes when a user named Shogun sends him a horrifying picture of a man staked to a wall. Soon after, Takumi sees the same scene play out in front of him, along with a blood-covered pink-haired girl who calls his name. Convinced the killer is after him, he struggles to separate reality from delusion and to decide whom to trust. Adapted from a PC visual novel by 5bp and Nitroplus, this psychological sci-fi mystery also touches on scientific ideas such as matter, antimatter and the Dirac sea.
