The earthquake that killed thousands happened six years ago, and Shibuya has rebuilt itself into something almost normal, until the murders start, always on days when the trauma was still fresh. You spend half the show thinking you're solving a mystery, then the show reveals it's been asking you a completely different question the entire time. Six years after a catastrophic earthquake ravaged Shibuya, the district is slowly piecing itself back together. Then, in October 2015, a string of mysterious deaths begins to surface amid the reconstruction. Takuru Miyashiro, a third-year student at the newly built Hekiho Academy, notices that the dates of the new killings line up with those of the New Generation Madness, a series of gruesome murders that once whipped Shibuya into mass hysteria. He and several fellow members of his school newspaper club decide to dig into the case, only to end up at the center of a fresh crime scene. The result is a psychological horror mystery with supernatural and sci-fi elements.
