A dying man gets a second chance at life the same night a teenager discovers he can destroy anything he wants. One chooses to save people he'll never meet. One chooses to kill for the thrill of it. Ichiro Inuyashiki is only 58, but he looks far older, and the world treats him as a feeble old man while his wife and children meet him with indifference and contempt. His one comfort is Hanako, a Shiba Inu he rescued. Then a checkup reveals stomach cancer with about three months left. Distraught, he runs to a nearby field with his dog, where a strange figure appears before a blinding flash. When he wakes, he finds he has become a mechanical weapon wrapped in his old skin. He uses these new abilities to save a life, and the act gives him fresh hope. Where the powers came from is still unknown, and he may not be the only one changed that night. The result is a psychological sci-fi action drama about an overlooked man given a new reason to live.
