Nobody's trying to impress you here. Three talking vegetables cause chaos in a town that hasn't changed in fifty years, and the whole thing moves at the speed of a child actually playing, not performing. In Nutsberry Town, a pretty rural community ringed by lakes, woods and fields where traditional values still hold, three friends get up to harmless mischief. Snappy the Onion, Wendy the Walnut and Pee Wee the Peanut are known together as the Kooky Kids. They are never nasty, but their constant hunt for fun and adventure keeps landing them in trouble. With no arcades, malls or amusement parks anywhere nearby, they make their own entertainment from the natural world around them and from their imaginations. The short-form adventure series revives a children's puppet program that NHK aired from 1959 to 1964.
