It hands you a whole cursed world in one sitting and then walks away, and that is exactly why people keep rewatching it. Planie is a town everybody else wrote off, undead spreading through the land, and the only thing holding the line is a priest living in a church out on the edge of it. The math is quiet and horrible: since Kanae showed up, the cases went down. Nobody in town asks why, and the anime knows you will. Then the mysterious man arrives at his side and the whole balance tips. Calling it Episode.0 is either a promise or a taunt, and with a single ONA on the board it feels like both. If you came for ChroNoiR you already know the two voices carrying this, and you already know one episode was never going to be enough.

One hundred and fifty years in the past, a strange illness that turns people into the undead has spread across the land, and the town of Planie has come to be called the cursed city. Kanae, a priest, lives in a church at the edge of town, and since he came to Planie, fewer people have fallen ill. When a mysterious man begins to accompany Kanae, the town's fate takes a new turn. ChroNoiR Episode.0 is a single-episode ONA blending action, fantasy and the supernatural.
