A poor detective and a rich girl forced to share one body, swapping at midnight like a timer on a curse. Ranma scrapes by as a street detective with an unshakeable moral compass. His partner Rella, a wealthy thrill-seeker, makes him half of an unlikely pair working the perilous streets of Kirin Town, where the two run the R&R detective agency. Then a clash with a mafia boss ends in a car crash that nearly kills them. Ranma comes to at the site days afterward, and Rella is gone. When he goes back to investigating her disappearance, something impossible happens: when midnight arrives, he vanishes and Rella appears in his place, and the switch keeps repeating. With every day now a contest against the clock, the two partners cooperate without ever sharing the same moment. They keep taking cases and fending off the city's worst criminals while trying to learn who staged the accident, why their bodies were experimented on, and how to get their normal selves back.
