You watch a girl cook her way out of every problem and somehow it works every single time. The food looks so good it hurts, the romance sneaks up on you between courses, and the enemies are stupid enough that you stop caring whether the plot makes sense. This is pure comfort anime, no heavy lifting, no betrayals that wreck you, just someone determined to build something beautiful in a world that keeps trying to burn it down.

Ye Jiayao, a young and gifted cook who hopes to become a celebrated chef, is magically sent back in time to Imperial China. She lands in the body of Ye Jinxuan, a girl considered hopelessly useless, and is kidnapped and held for ransom almost at once. Relying on her quick thinking and her sense of humor, she manages to get what she wants. After many twists she hopes to settle into a simple life and realize her dream of opening the finest restaurant in Huai Song, but villains keep trying to tear her down. The short ONA series mixes adventure, comedy, drama and romance.
