Lelouch and his friends step away from war for a moment to just be teenagers. These short comedic specials, bundled with the DVDs, catch the cast in their downtime. The girls of Ashford Academy trade gossip in the bath, then plan a festival where genders swap roles, an idea everyone likes except Lelouch Lamperouge. The students also turn up for the grand opening of the Clovis Land pool, to the embarrassment of a skimpily dressed Cornelia li Britannia. The specials also look back at Lelouch's past, showing a piece of his royal upbringing and how he first met Suzaku Kururugi. There is plenty of fan service mixed in with the humor. These are not moments where the fate of nations hangs in the balance. Instead they show the characters living very different, often funny lives away from the fighting.
