Houshou Marine's voice moves through this like a live wire, sharp and purposeful where other idol tracks settle for shine. Tomomi Umetsu's direction doesn't waste a frame, every cut, every color shift, every beat serves the song instead of decorating it. This is what happens when a director trusts the performer enough to get out of the way. One episode. One song. One moment where music video and music become the same thing.

complex♡princess is a single-episode music video made for the Houshou Marine song of the same name. Tomomi Umetsu directed it. The piece is built around one track and its performer, and fans of the song are likely to get the most out of it.
