In the second half of the 19th century, as Japanese culture catches on in the West, a young Japanese girl named Yune comes to Paris with Oscar, a Frenchman returning from his travels. She offers to work at the family's ironwork shop in the Galerie du Roy arcade, run by Claude Claudel. Claude resists at first but agrees to take her in as a live-in maid, and he struggles to look after her while keeping the business going. Her foreign customs puzzle him, yet over time these two very different people learn to understand each other and share a life together. Twelve slice-of-life episodes adapt Takeda Hinata's manga.
