The Precure formula works best when it stops apologizing for being silly, and Delicious Party finally gets that. Every transformation feels earned because the show trusts its own absurdity, building real stakes out of cooking metaphors that should never work but absolutely do. The character writing fixes what Tropical Rouge fumbled, giving each girl a reason to exist beyond her transformation sequence. The character designs are noticeably weaker than what came before, a visual step backward that undercuts some of what the writing accomplishes.
