The black motorcycle arrives like a threat. Everything in Detective Conan builds toward solving what you already know is impossible, but this one arrives without a case first, just danger and a cop with a name that means something to Ran. By the time Chihaya's bike hits the pavement, you know the wreck is the beginning of a mystery that started before anyone was looking for one.

Conan, Ran, Sonoko and Kogoro are riding to the Kanagawa Motorcycle Festival in Yokohama's Minato Mirai district with bike fan Masumi Sera when a mysterious black motorcycle jumps clean over their car. Close behind it is Chihaya Hagiwara of the Kanagawa police traffic mobile unit, the Goddess of the Wind whom Ran once saw in action. The chase ends with Chihaya's bike wrecked and the rider escaping at the last moment. At the festival, the group watches the reveal of Angel, a new high-tech police motorcycle. Soon after, the black bike turns up in central Tokyo and outruns the Metropolitan Police. Nobody knows why it is running wild, but it looks strikingly like Angel, and the police name it Lucifer as the hunt goes on. The 29th Detective Conan film is a mystery built around this chase.
