Dejiko's summer takes an unexpected turn when Puchiko cannot reach the signal button to get off a bus, and the driver keeps speeding until they end up in America. A young American otaku named Rodoyan, a devoted fan of Dejiko, takes Puchiko in and writes to Dejiko, inviting her to come visit and bring her companion home. Back in Japan, Dejiko hopes to win a ten-year supply of natto, her favorite food, at a band contest in Akihabara, but first she must find enough members and instruments. Later, a trip to the mountains with the Gamers turns strange when people start vanishing one by one after dark. The four comedy specials aired almost a year after the original series and introduce Rodoyan to the cast.
