A creature lands on your head one day and never leaves, and suddenly your entire life becomes background noise to something smaller and weirder than you. The comedy lives in that collision: a normal kid trying to exist while something inexplicably cute derails every single plan. Sunao Moriyama is a middle school student whose ordinary life is upended when a strange, cute little creature turns up in his refrigerator. He names her Potemayo, after a potato-mayonnaise bread, and she soon follows him everywhere, usually riding on his head. Sunao takes it all in stride, and his find quickly becomes the focus of attention in his class. Potemayo dislikes his classmate Natsu Mikan, seeing her as a rival for Sunao's attention. Then a second creature appears in the same refrigerator, carrying a scythe and wielding odd magical powers. One of Sunao's classmates names her Guchuko, and she seems far less good-natured than Potemayo. The comedy is adapted from a four-panel manga.
