A tiny squid girl shows up to invade humanity, gets immediately bullied into waitressing instead, and decides that's fine actually. Every episode is her getting distracted by surface-world nonsense, failing at her own invasion plans, and somehow becoming genuinely loved by the people she was supposed to conquer. The comedy lives in her absolute refusal to be threatening, even when she's trying the hardest, and her weird little squid logic making perfect sense to no one but herself.

An adorable squid girl emerges from the ocean with grand plans to invade humanity and punish the surface world for polluting her home. Armed with righteous anger, hair tentacles and the ability to shoot ink, she's ready to conquer all. Then she gets sidetracked almost immediately. After she damages a wall of the Lemon Beach House, a seaside restaurant run by the Aizawa sisters, she is made to work there as a waitress to cover the repairs. Her invasion is put on hold as she settles into her new job, and the family who runs the place refuses to take her schemes seriously. The comedy comes from the gap between her dramatic declarations of conquest and her new life serving food and meeting people on the surface. Lighthearted and silly, the slice-of-life series finds its humor in a little squid girl who is far better at being a waitress than a villain.
