A demon executive forced to work minimum wage and pay rent while scheming to rebuild her empire from a studio apartment discovers that powerlessness is funnier than villainy ever was. Every episode finds new ways to humiliate someone who used to terrify entire dimensions, and she never stops believing she's still dangerous. The show's actual trick is making you root for a catastrophically broke villain who can't even afford to be threatening.

Jahy once struck fear across the Dark Realm as its second-in-command, but a clash with a magical girl ends with the realm's precious mana crystal destroyed. The Dark Realm collapses, and Jahy lands in the human world shrunk to a small, powerless form. She now lives in a cramped, run-down one-room apartment, where she fights with her landlady over rent and holds down a part-time job just to keep a roof overhead and food on the table. On top of that she battles hunger and the lack of air conditioning. Her enormous pride will not let her accept this life for long, so she swears to restore the Dark Realm and sets out to piece the mana crystal back together. The anime adapts Konbu Wakame's manga and mixes comedy, fantasy and supernatural elements with everyday slice-of-life struggles.
